The No Kill Revolution Cocktail

My son asked ChatGPT if it could create a cocktail inspired by his father “Nathan Winograd.” He gave it no background information. This is what it came up with, including its reasoning, as well as the name “No Kill Revolution” cocktail. The only thing I added were the brand names to ensure they are vegan:

Based on Nathan Winograd’s advocacy for animal welfare and his efforts to promote no-kill animal shelters, I would create a custom cocktail that is both sweet and spicy, with a touch of bitterness to represent the challenges he has faced in his work.

Here’s my recipe for the “No Kill Revolution” cocktail:

Ingredients:

• 2 oz bourbon

• 1 oz Agave syrup

• 1 oz Fresh lemon juice

• 1/2 oz [Barrow’s or Pataka’s] ginger liqueur

• 1/4 oz [Luxardo] bitter bianco

• 1 dash of Angostura bitters

Instructions:

1. Fill a shaker with ice.

2. Add bourbon, agave, fresh lemon juice, ginger liqueur, bitter bianco, and a dash of Angostura bitters to the shaker.

3. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice.

4. Garnish with a lemon twist and a piece of candied ginger.

This cocktail has a bold and complex flavor profile, with the sweetness of agave and ginger liqueur balanced by the tartness of lemon juice and the bitterness of the bianco. The bourbon adds depth and richness to the drink, while the Angostura bitters tie everything together. The candied ginger garnish adds a touch of sweetness and spice, just like Nathan Winograd’s passion for animal welfare.

Cheers!
