I forwarded this post by Nathan to NY Times editors and referred to their article on the shelter situation in NYC. I said that I agreed with his assessment and that they needed to better. I also forwarded it to my NYC councilman, James Gennaro, to whom I have written to before. This is a great piece for anyone to forward to local media outlets if your local shelters are not managed well. It might help bring more media coverage to this situation. I have some others in mind now to send it to.

By the way, thank you for reminding me about our Reps in govt -- I too will be sending this email to my Council Members -- ALSO, I'll be sharing this email with ALL Council Members -- just in case their own Constituents do not know.

Thank you, most of all for your activism ! Activism can't be a sigh. There has to be a shout out every time. I think some media persons go for clicks not facts. A sensational report gets clicks. It’s easy; No work. Animals are cheap bait. That leaves the sixth estate, independent investigators, like Nathan, who have to go and clean up falsehoods: Scoop and shovel to ring number 3. And activists who carry the message further. I don’t know why animals are so exploitable. There are more nice animals than there are people. I wish one were president.

After writing I thought of one more thing because all of this is so discouraging. We can flip it back on opportunistic journalists like you did. They don't get the last say when they open up a can of worms. We just carry the ball forward. I try to remember when I feel discouraged which is often these days, that the Chinese symbol/word for crisis is the same one as for opportunity so we will exploit their errors in judgement and mistakes. Never sting a mad activist. Then there is church on Sunday with Nathan where I meet all the persons in the congregation and I am not alone in this fight anymore.

I have said this before and I will say it again, people who collect a paycheck off the backs of animals are not motivated to help them. Check into some of these shelters and rescues see how many are getting paid and how much, it will open your eyes to how much greed is in animal welfare. If more had to volunteer one of two things would happen, they would quit or they would get the animal problems cleaned up in short order.

Dear Nathan, I wish to reiterate the points that l made in my Post to your August 1 updates, and that is my logical suggestion that you SUE the NY Times for their fabricated article that blamed overcrowding as the reason for the shelters not being able to do their job. My proposal is based on how President Trump’s successful lawsuit against CBS for its fabricated version of the actual “60 Minutes” interview of Kamala Harris is analogous to your expose of The NY Times fabricated article that blamed the failure of the NYC shelters on overcrowding rather than mismanagement. Inasmuch as your life’s mission is to protect the vulnerable and Sentient Beings/animals from the abuse of shelter mismanagement, the lies of the NY Times reporters seriously impacts your mission of protecting animals and educating the public and your devoted followers about how important it is that we show love and compassion to our beloved pets and all animals. It is critical that you continue your mission of educating the 100 million or more people in our country (plus people around the world) who are pet owners or animal lovers about what needs to be done to help make this a more loving and peaceful world based on the principle that Each and Every Life Matters. And l as a former educator (School Principal, Professor, Chairman) have always believed that we need to educate our children about how important it is to share the unconditional love of animals with their classmates, friends, family and other people. As they mature with such values, they can play a key role in helping to make this a kinder and more loving world. In conclusion, l again beseech you Nathan Winograd to continue your wonderful role as our Ambassador of Compassion and Animal Rights and Welfare. Sincerely, Jerry Neidich, Ph.D.

Hi Jerry,

I can think of no cause of action for a lawsuit, especially given the high bar set by the First Amendment. The CBS lawsuit settlement appears to be more about Paramount seeking approval for a merger and obtaining shareholder support.

Dear Nathan,

I have sent you numerous positive comments about your wonderful mission of helping and protecting our voiceless animals from being harmed or killed by the mismanaged shelters in NYC, Oakland, and many other shelters throughout America. And today I tried sending you an email to nathan@nokilladvocacycenter.org but it bounced back saying that such an email address doesn’t exist!

I am thus baffled and frustrated. I and a close associate have been engaged in raising funds for animal causes and are seriously considering the possibility of donating significant funds (thousands of dollars) to your charitable organization, but l am concerned and frustrated in not being able to have direct contact with you. And the rejection of my email to your No Kill Advocacy Center concerns

me. Thus, l ask you kindly to please respond to me at my email which is worldbanking@aol.com and/or call me at 310-779-3087. Thank you. Sincerely, Dr. Jerry Neidich, Ph.D.

I do not sure where you got that email address because it was never in use. I do not maintain a direct email address with the NKAC due to the high volume, my other professional (and personal) responsibilities, and because most emails received can be handled through the general email address, without the need for my involvement. You can use that at info [at] nokilladvocacycenter.org.

Dear Nathan, l beseech you to give me the courtesy of a phone call at 310-779-3087 so that I can discuss my intention to make a large donation (thousands of dollars) to your NKAC. Please see my credentials as mentioned in my previous posts, and then you will understand that I am a serious and well-intentioned person. I sincerely look forward to a hoped-for phone call from you. Thank you. Sincerely, Jerry Neidich, Ph.D.

Thank You So Much for speaking out for the voiceless animals. I’m convinced with the corruption involved with NYCACC change will never come without the powers that be being forced out by voters. Risa Weinstock lies to reporters every chance she gets saying they don’t kill healthy adoptable animals. Nothing could be further from the truth! NYCACC continues doing business as usual knowing there is no oversight or accountability. Thanks to you putting out the the truth maybe more eyes will be opened to the horror going on in that place. Thank You Again! The Animals need all of the help they can get.
